The apartment was lovely, good space for the 4
of us. Located on the 4th floor, nice views,
large balcony and living space. location was close to a few museums, the flea market, short walk to Rembrantplein,
bars and restarants, but in a nice residential
area with handy local amenities e.g. supermarket, wine shop.

Overall very pleased with the flat and would be
happy to stay there again!

I have stayed in Amsterdam over 100 times, and
this was by far the best Amsterdam experience I
have had so far. The reason is 3 fold, the
property owner Joanna went above and beyond and
picked us up from the airport and drove us
directly to her apartment, this was before giving
us a guided tour in the car of the local area.
The second reason was the immaculate and very
homely feeling apartment, it felt like we were
living in our own place. We had full kitchen
facilities, which we made use of, a balcony, a
very comfortable living room with comfy sofas,
TV, DVD, Stereo and much much more. Also,
everything was very local to us, a super market,
coffee shop, bus stops and a direct tram directly
to the centre of Amsterdam in 20 minutes.
Superb, and highly recommended!!

Great apartment. I felt like I was living in the city not just visiting. Gea and Yasif were so helpful.

Stephen Draper / Old Masters House In Amsterdam
From Aug-06, 2010 Until Aug-08, 2010
We found the Old Masters Apartment to be very spacious for 4 people (can sleep up to 6).

Upon arrival, everything was clean with beds made. Our contact met us outside the apartment on time and gave us a good walkaround and advised us of some events taking place. Very friendly & helpful.

The apartment is approx 30 minutes walk from Central Station, and is very close to tram links. A 10 minute walk in either direction leads you to two of the main town squares, so it's close to bars, restaurants, and coffee shops, but also in a quiet location so you don't get disturbed easily.

I would recommend the apartment to anyone and would happily stay there when I next visit Amsterdam.

Mr C Duncan / Jordaan Canal View

Marco / Amsterdam City Center

Perfect location, clean, this property has an atmosphere. Many details to feel comfortable. Edi (the landlord) was very correct. I would highly recommend it.

Bill Place / Amsterdam Central Park
From Jun-13, 2010 Until Jun-18, 2010
This place was fantastic! It's perfectly centralized and was incredibly close to everything. The map is a bit decieving as it appears the location is a bit outside of the downtown. Don't be fooled, it's right in the perfect location. Compared to hotel prices in the area, and the location and size of the flat, it was a great deal. Normally I go cheap, cheap, cheap, but occationally will splurge for something a bit more. This was one of those times and I didn't regret it for a minute. Definately highly recommend this place. Can't say enough about the friendly, clean, convenience.

Considering Amsterdam Apartments

Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, remember that where you stay is going to drastically affect your experience.  More and more people are realizing that their experience is going to be severely hampered through staying at a hotel, and that is why Amsterdam apartments are getting so popular and why Amsterdam rentals are going through the roof!  Are you in a place where you are planning an extended stay in the city?  If so, consider some of the benefits that you can get by choosing your Amsterdam accommodation wisely.

When you have decided to look into the Amsterdam rentals that are available, you'll find that there are many advantages over choosing a hotel.  For instance, if you are someone who values your privacy, you'll be able to keep your own hours and keep your living space just as you please without needing to worry about hotel staff coming in to organize or clean.  Many people find that it is very difficult to feel entirely at home with the intrusiveness of hotel staff, and by taking a look at Amsterdam apartments, you'll be able to feel much more comfortable as you go about your business.  In addition, you can cut back on pricey restaurant and delivery costs by doing your own cooking as well.

You'll also find that when you choose the right apartments in Amsterdam that you are going to be in the heart of the action.  Look for Amsterdam rentals that are located at the heart of the city, where you are going to have clear and easy access to places like Dam Square, Herengracht Canal, and Liedse Square.  You'll find that you are in a great place to enjoy all that the city has to offer, whether you are looking for shops, cafes, or restaurants.  There is also plenty to see and there are going to be plenty of local museums and galleries at your disposal.

One thing that many visitors are amazed by when they come to Amsterdam is the history of the city.   Next to modern conveniences that provide you with everything that you could ever want, you'll find that there are plenty of Amsterdam Apartments that allow you the chance to stay in a building that has been around for hundreds of years.  Getting to see the history of the city is one thing, getting to live in it is quite another!  Take some time and consider what an amazing experience it would be to live in Amsterdam rentals that date back to the eighteenth and even sixteenth centuries.  This is not an experience that you can get at the local hotels!

What do you want to get out of your experience with the amazing city of Amsterdam?  Don't resign yourself to a stay in an impersonal hotel; there are lots of Amsterdam apartments out there that will put you in the center of things while still letting you come and go as you please. Amsterdam rentals are a great way to enjoy the city on your own terms, so find the ones that suit  you!

Amsterdam Accommodations

When one travels to distant countries including the Netherlands, the very first thing to do is to check out the available accommodations even before you step foot on the place.  You can always be very adventurous and just wing it but that would be risky at best.  After all, you might just find yourself in the city during the peak season and then be turned away from the inn.

So it is recommended to book your accommodations online especially if you are looking for  luxury or cheap apartments in Amsterdam.  This way, you are assured that you will have a place to stay in Amsterdam as soon as your plane lands.  Now, that is convenience if we ever saw one!

Variety of Accommodations

Just like major cities in Europe, Amsterdam offers many types of accommodations from the high-end luxurious hotels to the low-end basic hostels.  After all, this is the city that boasts of rental properties making up 73 percent of the housing supply, which means that there ought to be some sort of accommodations everywhere you turn.

No matter what type of accommodation Amsterdam you go for, however, it cannot be denied that the trademark Dutch hospitality is evident.  The service staffs will most often go out of their way to ensure that you are as comfortable as possible in your room while providing advice on the best places to see in the city.

The facilities and amenities available vary according to the establishment itself.  Thus, you will find that premium hotels offer everything from a hot tub to Internet connections in the rooms to business facilities and entertainment options in the hotel premises.  There are also charming bed and breakfast inns, youth hotels and family Amsterdam vacation rentals.

What are probably the most charming and most unique accommodations in Amsterdam are the houseboats.  In fact, these houseboats are tourist sights in themselves considering their reputation as one of Europe's finest and costliest examples.

Keep in mind, however, that staying in one of these houseboats is definitely not for the budget-conscious.  Still, if you have the euros to spend, then why not put a new dimension to your stay in the city with more canals than Venice and more bridges than Paris?  Otherwise, opt for the holiday apartments for a more land-bound stay in Amsterdam.

You may also go for the four campsites around the city.  It is a very basic setup but if you can bear it, then go for it.

Variety of Rates

It is not just the state of the accommodations that one needs to look into in Amsterdam.  This is still a very cosmopolitan city with relatively expensive rates on rooms especially on the inner canals and near the city center.  As such, it pays to ask for the rates as well as the amenities available before booking your rooms.

Most accommodations in Amsterdam will not include breakfast on the room charge.  You may have to choose your hotel or hostel depending on how near the eating establishments are for this purpose.  Better yet, book a holiday apartment where cooking your meals in a fully-furnished kitchen.  This is the best choice when it comes to saving on euros.

Amsterdam with its windmills, bridges, canals, museums, legal prostitution and cannabis tours is a city that shocks and enchants almost at the same time.
